When you offer a freebie (such as a free resource, free ebook, free information, free software, etc...) from your site, submit it to freebie sites and free directories.

These free sites provide targeted categories which means free targeted traffic for your website. For example: if you are submitting software, you could submit it to the "free software" section.

Just remember, many freebie sites want you to link to their web site before they will list your freebie submission. This is not a big deal if you have links pages. Which you should if you have been studying up on your SEO techniques but that is a whole different discussion.
